I picked this bottle up off the Olive Young shelf in Seoul and read the front of it: DIVE IN Serum · HYDRATE & GLOW · 5D Hyaluronic Acid · Allantoin · Panthenol · 50ml.
Then I looked at how it is sold abroad.
| Where | What it is called |
|---|---|
| Olive Young shelf, Seoul | 토리든 다이브인 세럼 — Dive In Serum |
| The bottle itself | DIVE IN Serum · 5D Hyaluronic Acid |
| Costco (US) | Torriden DIVE-IN Low-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Serum |
| Olive Young Global | Torriden Dive-in Low Molecule Hyaluronic Acid Serum |
| Sephora | DIVE IN 5D Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Hydra SOS Serum |
Five listings. Four different names. One bottle.
This is the eighth Korean product I have checked this month where the Korean shelf name and the export listing disagree. At this point it is not a series of coincidences — it is simply how the K-beauty export channel works, and it is the reason people end up buying the wrong item from the right brand.
Which Dive In are you actually buying
The naming problem does not stop at the serum. Dive In is a whole line, and the pieces get confused for each other constantly. English search volume, same month:
| Product | Monthly searches (US) |
|---|---|
| Dive In Serum — the one in this post | 12,100 |
| Dive In Soothing Cream | 2,400 |
| Dive In Cream (generic phrasing) | 1,900 |
| Dive In Skin Booster | 590 |
| Dive In Toner | 480 |
| Dive In Cleansing Foam | 320 |
| Dive In Moisture Sun Cream | 110 · plus 40 for “dive in sun cream” |
The trap in that list is the Skin Booster. It is a separate product with its own page on Torriden’s own US site, and it is not a bigger bottle of the serum. If a review told you to buy “the Dive In booster” and you wanted the serum, those are two purchases.
What to check before you pay: the word Serum and 50ml / 1.69 fl.oz. Those two together identify the bottle in my photo regardless of which of the four marketing names the retailer used.
What Korea charges
Both electronic price labels from that shelf, read in September 2026:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| 다이브인 세럼 50ml 리필 산리오기획 | ₩36,000 → ₩27,000 → ₩24,300 |
| 다이브인 세럼 50ml 기획세트 | ₩22,000 → ₩16,500 → ₩15,680 |
Two 50ml listings, ₩8,620 apart. The expensive one is not more serum — it is the Olive Young × Sanrio bundle, which is the part of this shelf that does not exist anywhere outside Korea.
The Sanrio boxes, and why they are on this shelf
Behind the tester bottle sit stacks of pink-and-blue OLIVE YOUNG × Sanrio boxes — Cinnamoroll on the front, with a crowned 1등 속보습 혁신 수분세럼 flash: “No.1 deep-hydration innovation, hydrating serum.”
The shelf header running under the whole bay says the same thing at scale:
수분 · 탄력 · 광채 — moisture, bounce, glow
1등 속보습 혁신 — No.1 deep-hydration innovation
세럼
Two things worth taking from that. First, Olive Young is positioning this as its No.1 hydration serum, and Olive Young rankings track domestic sales rather than marketing spend. Second, the character collaboration is a Korea-only retail event. Sanrio bundles, Hello Kitty caps, Teletubbies sun creams — Olive Young runs these constantly, they sell out, and they never appear on the export listings. If you have seen a Korean haul video with packaging that does not match anything you can order, this is why.

What is in it
Off the front of the bottle:
| Product | Torriden DIVE IN Serum |
| Claim | HYDRATE & GLOW |
| Size | 50 ml / 1.69 fl.oz |
| Headline active | 5D Hyaluronic Acid |
| Also listed | Allantoin · Panthenol |
“5D hyaluronic acid” means hyaluronic acid at five different molecular weights rather than one. The reasoning is that larger molecules sit near the surface and hold water there, while smaller ones travel further into the upper layers — so a spread of sizes hydrates at more than one depth. That is also exactly what the export name Low-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid is pointing at, from the other direction. Same formula, two ways of describing the same idea.
Allantoin and panthenol are the supporting cast: both soothing, both there to keep a hydrating serum from stinging on a compromised barrier.
What this is not is an active. There is no acid, no retinoid, no vitamin C. It is a hydration step, which is why it layers under almost anything.
How to use it
Fifty people a month ask this in English, which is fewer than for a spicule product but still worth answering plainly.
- After cleansing and toner, before moisturiser. It is a watery serum; it goes early.
- On damp skin. A humectant serum needs water present to hold. Applied to bone-dry skin in dry air it can pull moisture the wrong way.
- Seal it. Hyaluronic acid without something occlusive over the top evaporates. If you are using this and still feel tight, the missing step is the cream, not more serum — see Illiyoon’s barrier line for the cheap high-volume option Korea reaches for.
- Morning and night is fine. Nothing here needs ramping up.
What Koreans actually reach for
| Korea | English-speaking | |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | 토리든 — 6,600 | torriden — 18,100 |
| The serum, by name | 토리든 다이브인 세럼 260 · 다이브인 세럼 70 · 토리든 다이브인 210 | torriden dive in serum — 12,100 |
| Generic “serum” phrasing | 토리든 세럼 — 1,300 | torriden serum — 4,400 |
| The export name | — | low-molecular / low molecule HA serum — 2,900 |
| Sunscreen | 토리든 선크림 — 320 | torriden sunscreen — 1,300 |
Read the first two rows together, because they invert.
In Korea, people search the brand: 6,600 for 토리든 against about 540 across every way of naming the serum. Koreans walk in knowing the brand and pick from the bay.
In English, people search the product: 12,100 for the serum name specifically. Abroad, this is not a brand people follow — it is one famous bottle that a review sent them to.
That difference tells you something practical. In Korea, Torriden is a house you shop; abroad it is a single product recommendation. Which is precisely how you end up with the Skin Booster in your basket when you meant the serum.
⚠️ A caveat on the numbers: Korea runs most of its searches through Naver rather than Google, so Google’s Korean figures understate domestic interest. I use them for relative comparison inside one market, never as a headcount. The brand-versus-product inversion holds because both columns are read the same way.
The sunscreen sitting next to it
One more thing from the same aisle, because the numbers are odd. Torriden DIVE IN Moisture Sun Cream (SPF50+ PA++++, with panthenol) is on the shelf a few slots over, and the search split is strange: 1,300 people a month search “torriden sunscreen” while only 110 search the actual product name and 40 search a near-miss of it.
That gap means the demand is real but nobody has told people what the product is called — the same naming problem as the serum, one aisle over. Worth knowing if you are searching and finding nothing: try the full name.

Who this is for
Buy it if: you want a straightforward hydration serum with nothing active in it, you layer under a cream, and you want the one Olive Young ranks as its No.1 hydration serum domestically.
Skip it if: you were looking for treatment. This does not brighten, resurface or firm. For that end of the Korean shelf see what Koreans actually buy at Olive Young.
Check the label if: you are ordering from a review. Serum, 50ml, and either “5D” or “Low-Molecular” all describe the same bottle. Skin Booster does not.
Buy the plain set if: you are in Korea and do not want the character packaging — ₩15,680 against ₩24,300 for the same 50ml.

Where to get it
- 🛒 Torriden Dive In Serum on Amazon — the US listings usually use the Low-Molecular name. Check for Serum and 50ml, not Skin Booster
- 🛒 Shop Korean skincare at Jolse — search “Torriden Dive In” (K-beauty retailer, ships worldwide)
- 🇰🇷 In Korea: Olive Young. ₩15,680 for the plain 50ml set, ₩24,300 for the Sanrio refill bundle, as displayed in September 2026

How I put this together
Not a lab test, not a sponsored placement. What is here: the bottle photographed at an Olive Young in Seoul, the front-of-bottle text and size read directly off it, the shelf header and the Olive Young × Sanrio display as it stood, both electronic price labels as displayed in September 2026, Google search volumes pulled for Korea and the United States in the same month, and the top twelve Google results for the product name — which is how I established that Costco, Olive Young Global and Sephora each sell this bottle under a different name. The full ingredient list, the exact contents of the Sanrio bundle and the sun cream’s price are not included because I photographed the front of the bottle and those labels were not legible; I have flagged all three rather than filling them in from a retailer listing.
FAQ
Is Torriden Dive In Serum the same as the Low-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Serum?
Yes. The Korean shelf and the bottle say “Dive In Serum · 5D Hyaluronic Acid”; Costco and Olive Young Global say “Low-Molecular / Low Molecule Hyaluronic Acid Serum”; Sephora says “5D Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Hydra SOS Serum.” One product, four names. Check for Serum and 50ml.
Dive In Serum or Dive In Skin Booster?
Two different products, not two sizes. The Skin Booster has its own listing on Torriden’s own site and pulls 590 searches a month against the serum’s 12,100. If you want the bottle in this review, the word you need is Serum.
What is 5D hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid at five molecular weights rather than one, so it hydrates at more than one depth. It is the same idea the “low-molecular” export name is describing.
How much is it in Korea?
₩15,680 for the plain 50ml set and ₩24,300 for the 50ml Sanrio refill bundle at Olive Young, September 2026.
Why is the Sanrio version more expensive?
Because it is a Korea-only Olive Young collaboration bundle rather than more product. If you do not want the character packaging, the plain set is ₩8,620 cheaper for the same 50ml.
Can I use it with retinol or acids?
Yes. There is nothing active in it — hyaluronic acid, allantoin and panthenol. It layers under actives rather than competing with them.
Is it sold at Olive Young?
Yes — with its own bay, headed as Olive Young’s No.1 hydration serum. Confirmed in person, September 2026.
