S.NATURE Aqua Squalane Cream: Wrinkle Lifting, Pore Refining, or Moisturizing?

Olive Young, Seoul — September 2026. Three award placings across 2023, 2024 and the Winner mark.

Three retailers, three different claims about what this cream is for.

The tube I photographed on the Olive Young shelf in Seoul says WRINKLE LIFTING. Olive Young Global lists it plainly as Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream. And the top Amazon result for the same search calls it a Pore Refining Moisturizer.

It is one product. Deciding which of those three things you are buying is the actual work here.

What the Korean tube says

Straight off the packaging:

Product S.NATURE AQUA SQUALANE MOISTURIZING CREAM
Claim on tube WRINKLE LIFTING
Size 60ml (2.02 fl.oz on the Olive Young Global listing)
Headline active Squalane 150,000 ppm
Also listed Betaine · Panthenol · Hyaluronic acid (8 types) · Collagen · Peptide-8 · Allantoin

150,000 ppm is 15%. That is the number worth pausing on. Squalane at 15% in a cream is a substantial amount — it is not a trace inclusion for the ingredient list. Squalane is an emollient that mimics skin’s own sebum, so a high-percentage squalane cream behaves like an occlusive-leaning moisturiser rather than a light gel.

The rest of the list is a hydration-and-firmness stack: humectants (betaine, eight hyaluronic acids), a soothing agent (panthenol, allantoin), and two firmness ingredients (collagen, peptide-8).

So the Korean “wrinkle lifting” claim is not arbitrary — the peptide and collagen are in there. But the bulk of the formula is doing hydration.

What Korea charges, and the three award badges

From the electronic price labels, read in September 2026:

Item Price
아쿠아 스쿠알란 크림 60ml 기획 ₩20,000 → ₩18,900 → ₩17,010
아쿠아 스쿠알란 수분크림 60ml ₩43,000 → ₩23,500 → ₩20,900

Two 60ml listings at different prices, which usually means one is a promotional bundle and one is the standard SKU. The display box beside them advertises 30ml 추가증정 — an extra 30ml thrown in.

And then the badges, which are the part an overseas listing never shows you. The display carries three, from three different years:

OLIVE YOUNG AWARDS — WINNER
2024 OLIVE YOUNG AWARDS — MD’S PICK
2023 OLIVE YOUNG AWARDS — TREND

Winning once is a moment. Placing in three consecutive years is a different signal — it means the product kept selling after the launch push ended. Olive Young awards are driven by sales inside Korea, so this is domestic repeat purchase, not marketing spend.

The shelf header above it reads 모공쫀쫀 수분광 수분천재크림 — roughly “tight-pore, dewy-glow, hydration-genius cream”. Note that the Korean shelf copy leads with pores and glow, while the tube leads with wrinkle lifting. Even inside Korea the positioning is not settled.

The name problem, and why it matters when you order

Where What it is called
Olive Young shelf, Seoul AQUA SQUALANE MOISTURIZING CREAM · wrinkle lifting
Olive Young Global Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream, 2.02 fl.oz
Amazon (top result) S.NATURE Pore Refining Moisturizer for Dry & Sensitive
Sephora Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Lightweight Hydrating Face cream
Skin Cupid Aqua Squalane Moisturising Cream (60ml)

Five listings, four descriptions, one product. If you searched for a pore refiner and landed on a wrinkle cream, that is why.

What to check before you pay: the size (60ml) and the words Aqua Squalane. Those are stable across every listing. The benefit claim is not.

This is the seventh Korean product I have checked this month where the Korean shelf name and the export listing disagree. It is not a coincidence any more — it is how the export channel works.

What Koreans actually reach for

Korea English-speaking
Brand 에스네이처 — 1,900 (brand term not measurable separately)
This product part of brand searches s nature aqua squalane moisturizing cream — 1,600 · plus reviews 180 · ingredients 50
Cluster total 1,940/month

Read those two numbers together: 1,900 in Korea, 1,940 in English. That is near-parity, and it is rare.

Most products I have written up this month are lopsided — Beauty of Joseon at 110,000 English against 5,400 Korean, Dr.Groot at 49,500 against 1,300. When a Korean product is searched about equally in both markets, it usually means the product earned its overseas following on merit rather than on a marketing push, and that the domestic version is the same thing you are buying.

⚠️ A caveat on the numbers: Korea runs most of its searches through Naver rather than Google, so Google’s Korean figures understate domestic interest. I use them for relative comparison inside one market, never as a headcount. The parity here is a directional signal, not a precise match.

Also worth noting for anyone checking Korean opinion directly: this product has a review page on 화해 (Hwahae), Korea’s main cosmetics review app, which ranks on page one for the English search term. That is unusual and worth clicking if you read any Korean.

Who this is for

Buy it if: you want a hydrating cream with a genuinely high squalane load (15%), your skin is dry or dry-sensitive, or you want a Korean cream with three consecutive years of Olive Young award placings behind it.

Skip it if: you want an actual anti-wrinkle treatment. Peptide-8 and collagen are in there, but this is a moisturiser with firmness ingredients, not a retinoid. For that end of the Korean shelf, see celimax’s retinal booster.

Note if: you are acne-prone. Squalane is generally well tolerated and non-comedogenic, and a small number of people search that question specifically about this cream — but at 15% in an emollient base, patch test on the jaw first rather than committing to full-face.

How I put this together

Not a lab test, not a sponsored placement. What is here: the tube photographed on an Olive Young shelf in Seoul, the packaging text and squalane percentage read directly off it, the electronic price labels and award badges as displayed in September 2026, the top twelve Google results for the product name, and Google search volumes pulled for Korea and the US in the same month. The full ingredient list is not reproduced because I photographed the front of the tube, not the back — I have flagged that rather than filling it in from a retailer listing.

FAQ

Is S.NATURE Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream the same as the Pore Refining Moisturizer on Amazon?
The top Amazon result for this search is titled “Pore Refining Moisturizer” while the Korean tube says “Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream · Wrinkle Lifting.” Check for Aqua Squalane and 60ml on the listing; the benefit wording varies by retailer.

What does 150,000 ppm squalane mean?
15%. That is a high, functional amount rather than a token inclusion.

Is it non-comedogenic?
Squalane is generally considered non-comedogenic and mimics skin’s own sebum. At 15% in an emollient base, patch test first if you are acne-prone.

How much is it in Korea?
₩17,010 for the 60ml promotional bundle and ₩20,900 for the standard 60ml, as of September 2026, with a 30ml extra advertised on the shelf display.

What are the award badges?
Three, across three years: an Olive Young Awards Winner mark, a 2024 MD’s Pick, and a 2023 Trend placing. Olive Young awards track domestic sales, so consecutive placings indicate repeat purchase in Korea.

Is it sold at Olive Young?
Yes — confirmed in person, September 2026, in the moisturizer section next to the Hello Kitty collaboration display.
